24th Of July Fun

T
he eventful day started out with the parade at 9:00 in Spanish Fork. Unlike last year, my kids loved it! Yay for both of them for being one year older lol. It made it so much easier for Brett and I. They especially loved the bands, beauty queens (or princesses as Brady likes to call them), and tractors. The fire trucks were way too loud and guns shot off were to scary.

Brett's sister, Megan, is going to hair school and was in the parade. She looked so cute with her puffy hair, strutting the cat walk.

You can tell by the looks on there faces that it was really bright outside.

After the parade we would usually go to my
Grandpa's house just a minute walk away and each lunch, but this year we decided because of the heat we would have dinner instead at 5:30. So we decided to go walk around the concession boothes and carnival. THAT was so hot! waiting for the rides was almost painful.

Not having my Grandma with us for the 24th was a weird feeling. It definitely wasn't the same. All of us missed her being there.

Although we had a fun day, my kids were pooped out by the time we went home. Owen went immediately to bed and we sat with Brady in our driveway watching the fireworks, which we always have a great view of. It was a great ending to a busy day.

Really cute pictures. I loved the hair school float, it was my favorite out of the whole parade. That's awesome your sister-in-law was in it. We did the carnival that night. It was so nice. Kinda windy, but better than the heat.
